Went to Luciano's at Northside on Furnace St. for dinner last night and it was great! Our third time there since they opened in March. Husband had the veal chop that looked fabulous and I had the parmesan pasta wheel which was wonderful. Mark brings out the pasta and a half wheel of parmesan cheese on a cart and ... flames a portion of rum to caramelize the cheese wheel and then adds the pasta and does his magic and voila! You needn’t leave Akron, Ohio, to enjoy a fantastic Italian dinner! My husband and I arrived early and were told we could go ahead and be seated. The hostess then offered us complimentary champagne before taking us to our table. Our server, Matthew, hit all the right notes: warm, helpful, efficient, honest - just as ... professional as he could be! The food was outstanding: fresh, seasoned well, served at appropriate temperatures, portioned sensibly - just delicious! Our cocktails and wine selections were also top-notch. After sharing a dessert, we received our bill in a timely fashion - and we were stunned by how inexpensive the meal was! Had a wonderful experience here. Our waiter Matthew was an incredible, guiding us through the menu and specials. The short rib pasta special and chicken Alfredo were both delicious as was the sour dough bread and carrot cake. Cocktails were yummy and were full glasses.
